Giới thiệu

Le Quy Don High School was established and put into operation on September 3, 2007 according to Decision No. 1072/QD-UBND dated August 21, 2007 of the Chairman of Dak Nong Provincial People’s Committee. Located in the center of Tuy Duc district, address: Village 3, Dak Buk So commune, Tuy Duc district, Dak Nong province.

The school’s students are mainly from Tuy Duc district with 06 communes (02 border communes: Dak Buk So, Quang Truc; 5 communes of region 3 including: Quang Tan, Quang Tam, Dak Ngo, DakR’Tih, Quang Truc).

The locality where the school operates has the following characteristics: Ethnic areas account for over 44% of the district’s population. The educational level of the people is uneven; roads are difficult to travel, the area is large, the population is scattered, the people’s lives still face many difficulties, the poverty rate is high. The development process and achievements of the school

1.  Development process

  • The first school year 2007 – 2008: the school had only 13 staff, teachers and employees (including: Manager: 01; Teachers: 07; Staff: 05); only 2 10th grade classes with 81 students. The school’s initial facilities were completely borrowed and temporary.
  • 2017-2018 school year: The school currently has 45 staff, teachers and employees (including: Managers: 03; Teachers: 33; Staff: 07 (03 teachers less than the regulations: 01 Math teacher, 01 IT teacher, 01 Biology teacher) ; total number of students: 648 (ethnic minority students account for over 25%), arranged into 16 classes (grade 12: 4 classes with 162 students; grade 11: 5 classes with 207 students; grade 10: 7 classes with 279 students) .
  • Party cell: When the school was first established, there was only 01 party member who had to work together with the Party cell of the Department of Education and Training of Tuy Duc district. In May 2009, it was separated into an independent party cell directly under the Tuy Duc District Party Committee. When it was separated, there were 06 party members and by the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year, the party cell had 19 party members (18 official; 01 probationary); The party cell achieved the title of “Clean and Strong” party cell in 2009, 2014, 2015 and in 2016, it achieved the title of “Clean and Strong” exemplary party cell.
  • The current Union organization has 42 union members. The school’s Union has always achieved the title of strong groundswell union over the past school years.
  • Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union: From the 2011-2012 school year to present, the District Youth Union has continuously awarded the Certificate of Merit for “Outstanding achievements in Youth Union activities and Youth movements”. For three consecutive years, from the 2014-2015 school year to the 2016-2017 school year, the School Youth Union was awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Dak Nong Provincial Youth Union for “Outstanding achievements in Youth Union activities and Youth movements in Dak Nong Province’s schools” and 06 members were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial Youth Union; in the 2016-2017 school year, there were 16 Youth Union branches with 384 members (01 teacher Youth Union branch and 15 student Youth Union branches).
  • Regarding facilities: 11 administrative rooms, 18 cultural classrooms; 05 laboratories and library rooms, 01 multi-purpose hall, playground, fence gate, garage, toilet; practical laboratory equipment and teaching and learning facilities are complete quite, with 15 50-inch TVs equipped for classes to teach with electronic lesson plans; multiple-choice test marking machines and 01 photocopier for testing and evaluation; camera system inside and outside classrooms to enhance monitoring and management of students in the school…

2. School achievements

  • Provincial-level excellent teachers of subjects: 14 teachers
  • Provincial level excellent homeroom teachers: 03 teachers
  • Excellent teachers at school level: 19/31 teachers.
  • Regarding experience initiatives (in the 3 school years 2014-2015, 2015-2016 and 2016-2017): there were 29 basic-level scientific research topics of type B and C, including 23 type C topics and 06 basic-level scientific research topics of type B; 01 scientific research topic of type B at the provincial level in 2017.
  • There are 41/41 cadres and civil servants who have achieved the title of Excellent Laborer from 01 to many times; 10 cadres and teachers have achieved the title of Excellent Laborer from 01 to 03 times; 02 teachers are being proposed for recognition of the title of Excellent Laborer at the provincial level; 07 teachers have been awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.
  • From the 2013-2014 school year to the 2016-2017 school year, the school has always achieved the title of Excellent Labor Collective. In the 2016-2017 school year, the Director of the Department of Education and Training classified the school as Excellent in completing its tasks.
  • 2016: The school was recognized as a cultural standard unit and met the “Security and Order Safety” standard.
  • Regarding the quality of student education: 01 student won a bronze medal in the 2011 National Youth Science Creativity Competition; 12 students won the provincial-level excellent student award for grade 12; many students won medals of various types in the provincial-level National Defense Education Sports Festival and the provincial-level Phu Dong Sports Festival; won 05 provincial-level Science and Technology competitions; won many medals in the Olympic competitions of high schools in the province; the quality of student education increases every year; the graduation rate gradually increased from 58% to 97.83% in 2017.
